What is hold up in doing so? How come they’ve never tried? It is a structured city, they have the Triple A for Basketball games, Dolphin Stadium for track events and a beach for kayaking events. Yeah they’ll need to build a swimming facility but what why not?

because miami just isnt up to the job and is one of the most horrible cities i have ever visited, god forbbid they bid for the olympic games

hmm, Summer Olympics on the coast of Florida during hurricane season. – It could be interesting.
The humidity would be brutal on the distance runners.
Finding housing for the 16,000 competitors staff, plus all the spectators might be a challenge. It would take building another city somewhere nearby. Litigation on property rights would tie a project up for years. Aside from that, Miami already has a healthy tourist draw.
